How to Fix Ambient Recording Bugs

If you’re facing either of the two issues, you’re most likely having trouble locating the feature of getting it up and running. Make sure you’re well versed with the feature and where to find it in the dashboard. The feature can be accessed in the “Record Surround” tab in the dashboard menu pane.

Note: The ambient recording feature is only available through Android phones, and is not yet available for iOS and iPadOS devices.

Possible Fixes:

  1. Please ensure you’re attempting to use the feature on an Android phone/tablet. The feature is unavailable for iOS. Also, ensure that the target Android phone is connected to the internet.
  2. Ensure that the device being used to run the dashboard is connected to the internet.
  3. If both devices are connected to the internet, try some other feature to see if it works.
    • If no other feature works: The Xnspy server might be down or maybe processing multiple requests. We advise trying again at a later time.
    • If every other feature works: The target device may not have microphone access to begin recording. If prompted to allow microphone access, press on the “Allow all the time” option.

  4. If both devices are connected to the internet, try some other feature to see if it works.
    • If no other feature works: The Xnspy server might be down or maybe processing multiple requests. We advise trying again at a later time.
    • If every other feature works: Make sure you have ample storage space on the target device and the Xnspy dashboard. Try deleting some files on the dashboard and try again.

Many users cannot find the Ambient Recording feature when they first start using the app. it’s the same issue I faced when I was starting out.

Often the most common issue with the app is slow Internet. The app works fine once the phone you’re monitoring has good Wi-Fi connectivity.
