And now we have another tutorial on how to install Windows 11 Paint on Windows 10. Yes, you can use your Windows 10 PC to run the newly redesigned Paint app. So, without further ado, let’s go over the instructions.

Install the Windows 11 Paint App on Windows 10

Because Windows 10 and 11 share the same core, the new Microsoft Paint application can also be installed on a Windows 10 machine. Here’s how it’s done:

Download the MSIXBUNDLE File of Windows 11 Paint App

  1. To begin, go to this website and type 9PCFS5B6T72H into the text field. Then, to the left of the textbox, change the drop-down menu to “ProductId.” Then, from the drop-down menu to the right of the textbox, select “Fast” and press the “OK” (checkmark) button.

  2. On your screen, you should now see a long list of files. You must obtain the MSIXBUNDLE of the Windows 11 Paint app. Simply search for the string below and download the file. You must right-click on the link in Chrome and select “Save as…” The file is approximately 8MB in size.

  3. After you have downloaded the file, go ahead and download 7-Zip (Free). It will grant you access to and extraction of the MSIXBUNDLE file.

Install the Windows 11 Paint App on Windows 10

  1. Now that you’ve modified the MSIXBUNDLE file for the new Paint app, let’s install it on Windows 10. Search for “developer” by pressing the Windows key once. Then, from the search results, choose “Developer settings.”

  2. Toggle the “Install apps from any source, including loose files” toggle to enable Developer Mode. Select “Yes” at the next prompt.

  3. Then, press the Windows key again and look for PowerShell. On the search results screen, in the right pane, click “Run as administrator.”

  4. Open the x64 folder in the extracted MSIXBUNDLE folder. Look for the “AppxManifest.xml” file that we modified in the previous section. Hold down the “Shift” key while right-clicking on the “AppxManifest.xml” file and selecting “Copy as Path.”

  5. Return to the PowerShell window and type the following command. Replace filepath with the path you copied in the previous step. When you right-click on the PowerShell window, the path will be appended to the end of the command. Finally, press the Enter key.

  6. When you open the Start Menu, you will notice that the new Windows 11 Paint app has been installed on your Windows 10 PC. You can use both the old and new Paint apps on your Windows 10 computer because the package names are different.

The new Paint app does not appear to be coming to Windows 10 because the package name is different and there are no 32-bit builds in the MSIX package.
